Create a free hat block

What you can make

The current workshop creates a made-to-measure crown block, a matching BS-1.0 stand, and a recommended dimensional fit check. Start with the finished hat size, choose round, standard oval, or long oval, then select the crown height and profile that fit the hat you are building.

The output is a full-size STL file. Open it in your slicer at 100% scale, inspect the dimensions, and print it on the material and settings appropriate for the work you intend to do.

Why use a printable hat block?

A printed block is not a replacement for the skill at the bench. It is a way to test a size or profile, build a practical working tool, and avoid needing a separate traditional block for every starting idea. The choice of material, print setup, surface finish, steam, and felt all still matter.
